A request does not immediately change the stay

A resident’s extension or date-change submission does not confirm new dates on its own. Keep the current reservation separate from the requested period while LIVIA checks the record. Other residents’ bookings and the owner’s planned use also need to be taken into account.

Check new dates and preparation buffers

Proposed dates must be checked against other bookings, blocks, owner stays and the agreement’s scope. For an uninterrupted extension, assess the full revised stay and the full three-day buffers separating it from other use before and after. This does not mean inserting a departure period within the same continuous stay. Do not remove the original booking merely because a requested change does not fit.

Use the correct agreement version

If dates or amounts change, LIVIA explains the necessary amendment or documents. Overwriting a signed file does not establish the other party’s consent to new terms. Keep the request, approval and signature states aligned with the version that actually applies.

Distinguish cancellation from leaving early

Withdrawing an application, terminating after signing and physically departing early are different situations. Refund eligibility, calculation and timing follow the policy and contract for that reservation. Do not promise either a full refund or no refund simply by counting the unused days.

Use confirmed records for the financial effect

The owner’s collected-rent allocation is reviewed against collected base rent and applicable contractual adjustments. A resident asking for a change does not itself establish increased or reduced income. Once a refund or adjustment is confirmed, check the period and how it appears in the statement.

Discuss owner-driven changes through LIVIA too

Wanting to use your home does not allow an existing reservation to be cancelled unilaterally. Apply for available owner-use dates, or ask LIVIA if the dates are already booked. An email or a changed calendar display alone does not establish that an existing contract has been amended.
