Identify equipment residents may use

Distinguish desks, chairs and appliances offered with the home from clothes, photographs and work materials. Residents should not have to guess whether an item left behind is available to them. Record the quantity, location and condition of items that will become part of the rental inventory.

Check documents and personal information

Review mail, bank documents, agreements, computer data, photographs and name labels. Before taking listing photographs, check for visible names, addresses and contact details as well. Private paperwork and data should not become part of the materials supplied to advertise the home.

Discuss any reserved storage area

If you want to retain a locked cupboard, discuss its location, extent, safety and the storage left for residents with LIVIA. Leaving belongings does not automatically establish a storage or compensation arrangement. Make excluded areas clear in both the listing and on-site instructions.

Separate removal, transport and disposal

Identify what you will take away, move elsewhere or dispose of. If assistance is needed, agree the items, quantities, estimate, person responsible and cost allocation first. Leaving something in the apartment is not in itself a request for free storage, transport or disposal.

Record condition after moving things

Moving furniture or boxes may reveal marks on walls or floors. Save the location and photographs as part of the initial condition record without guessing who caused the marks. Separate cosmetic records from issues affecting use, and discuss any necessary work with LIVIA.

Remove new personal items after owner stays

After using the home yourself, clear personal possessions, leftover food and waste before handing it back. Update the inventory if the equipment for residents has changed. Do not block storage or access needed by the next resident with items you intend to collect on a later visit.
