Start with the rules for your building

Owning an apartment does not answer every question about how it may be let. Check the management regulations, operating rules and relevant individual agreements. The label “monthly rental” alone does not establish permission. Share available documents with LIVIA when discussing the proposed occupants and use.

Gather the relevant pages and amendments

Look for provisions on residential use, letting, subletting, occupant registration, keys and shared facilities. Check revision dates and supplementary rules as well. A page from an old version can give an incomplete picture. If you cannot find the relevant section, tell LIVIA the document name and your question.

Describe the actual arrangement when asking

When contacting the management association, explain the proposed letting arrangement, arrival and departure management, and contact point. An answer about a different type of use may not apply. Record who confirmed what, and check whether the actual rules require a notice or approval.

Check shared facilities as well as the apartment

Clarify the conditions for the waste collection area, entrance, bicycle parking and parcel lockers. Permission to let the apartment does not mean every shared facility is available on the same terms. Restrictions and any additional procedures should be reflected in the listing and on-site instructions.

Consider joint ownership and other agreements

Joint ownership, a representative acting for the owner, an existing lease or financing may involve additional conditions. Submitting the enquiry form does not verify authority to let. Ask the relevant manager or contracting party, and seek professional advice when the interpretation requires it.

Keep unanswered questions visible

You can begin discussing the property before every document is available. An unconfirmed condition must still remain unconfirmed. Once the current documents, responses and remaining requirements are clear, agree the next steps with LIVIA before promising publication or occupancy.

This owner guide explains service and preparation. Actual authority, expenses and operating conditions follow your agreement. Letting results and returns are not guaranteed.
